LOS ANGELES (AP) – Jonah Heim and Nate Lowe hit two home runs within their three hits and the Texas Rangers ended their 16-game road losing streak with a 12-1 win over the Los Angeles Dodgers on Saturday night.
Jason Martin hit his first home run in the majors and Willie Calhoun hit an RBI triple for the Rangers, who had not won outside of Arlington since May 6, a streak that included six different stadiums and equaled the worst in the franchise.
Kolby Allard worked five scoreless innings of five-hit ball for Texas, who are last in the standings and unexpectedly dominated the World Series champs to win their third game of 16. The night before they had lost 12-1 in Chavez Ravine.
The loss went to Cy Young Award winner Trevor Bauer (6-5), battered by the Rangers with nine hits and six runs, his worst figures of the season for the new Dodgers starter. Bauer struck out nine and had his first hit for the Dodgers.
