A video is currently amusing Instagram users: A Range Rover driver freaks out because she is sure that she will not pass a moving truck. A strange argument ensues.
Most drivers have probably experienced it at least once: a vehicle is blocking the road and you just can’t get past it. Of course it’s annoying – but you have to keep your nerve in such a case. An SUV driver recently did not succeed: he was apparently in a hurry and simply overtook a garbage truck on the sidewalk – he drove into a garbage worker. Sometimes all you need is a sense of proportion – a skill that a driver in New York obviously lacks: she freaks out because she’s convinced she can’t get past a moving truck. A curious scene ensues.

A video on Instagram (below) is currently going viral on multiple channels. The clip shows a scene from New York, probably filmed from a window. You can see a moving van and a Range Rover – and a woman who is visibly excitedly discussing with the movers. The problem: The SUV driver is obviously firmly convinced that she cannot get past the furniture truck with her luxury SUV. But even from the somewhat unfavorable film perspective, it looks as if the Range Rover should be able to pass relatively easily.
Range Rover driver freaks out: “I didn’t do anything to deserve this!”
“I don’t move the truck anymore,” says the man who seems to belong to the moving company. “You have enough space.” The SUV driver should just drive straight through. The woman gets back into her vehicle, but does not drive off. The man goes to her window and talks to her calmly. Suddenly another woman appears, yelling wildly at the SUV driver: “Move your sh… car. You’re holding up the world!” Shortly thereafter, the Range Rover driver drives off, but pulls sharply to the right. “That’s too far,” says the man. The woman stops with the car again and freaks out – her voice cracks: “I didn’t do anything to deserve this!”

The man remains calm: “Just straight ahead.” After the woman follows the instructions, it finally works, she passes the moving truck. As soon as she’s through, she roars away in her SUV – but not before yelling at the removal helper through the car window. However, if you don’t have your nerves in check, you should be careful: In Germany, insults on the road can be quite expensive.
In any case, the passing action in New York City is mostly commented on Instagram ironically. Here are some examples:
