Random attack in New York: two tourists pushed on subway tracks

Two young Mexican tourists preparing to take the New York subway early Monday morning were reportedly pushed onto the tracks after being randomly targeted.

It was around 2:15 a.m. Sunday night to Monday that the two women, aged 20 and 27, were said to have been violently pushed onto the path of platform F at the station at the intersection of Delancey streets and Essex in the Lower East Side. , as reported New York Post.

According to the New York City Police Department (NYPD), the two women, tourists from Mexico, were randomly targeted by a third woman who did not appear to know them.

Few details have been released about the suspect who was arrested pending charges, according to authorities.

For their part, the two victims would have been quickly helped by a witness to the scene and would have returned to the stage without serious injuries, continued the NYPD, according to American media.

Fortunately, no trains were approaching the incident.
