The teams from the Public Security Department of the Municipality of Rancagua, together with the Carabineros, continue to carry out important work to dismantle and clean up huts and tents in different parts of the city. This action aims to recover public spaces and reinforce security for the residents of Rancagua.
Regarding these tasks, the mayor of Rancagua, Emerson Avendaño Llanca, said that “this important joint and coordinated work is intended to guarantee tranquility and recover safe spaces for the people of Rancagua. We appreciate the great work of the Carabineros in these operations, since thanks to them we can continue to recover different public spaces in Rancagua, making it more orderly, safe and clean, which is also one of the main requests of the residents, and a priority for this administration.”
English: Thus, over the last few days, the Municipal Public Security and Carabineros teams intervened in the following areas: Diego de Almagro Avenue and Republic of Chile Avenue (north and south sidewalks), Bombero Ruiz Díaz Street (next to the supermarket), Patricio Allende Street and Mujica Street, Cáceres Street and Almarza Street, Registro Civil Square, Lovers Square, Victoria Avenue and Chepita Portales Avenue, Victoria Avenue and Las Hortalizas Avenue, El Sol Avenue and Río Itata Avenue, CGE electrical substation, Diego Portales Avenue and Lastra Avenue, Republic of Chile Avenue and Manuel Montt Avenue, and Obispo Larraín and Juan Antonio Ovalle Streets.
This joint action resulted in the disarming of 25 rucos, the removal of 3 tents and 2 arrests.
