The event was chaired by the director of the school, Mauricio Aguerrebere Jaramillo, who gave a speech in which he reviewed the history of this emblematic educational establishment in the city. During the ceremony, the institutional anthem was sung, reaffirming the commitment of the Lyceum community to quality education and the training of its students.
KEY INSTITUTION IN THE EDUCATIONAL DEVELOPMENT OF THE CITY
The Rancagua Girls’ High School, founded on August 28, 1906, has been a key institution in the educational development of the city. “We are celebrating 118 years of the Girls’ High School, and it coincides with the celebration of the 10th anniversary of the school’s refoundation, and we are very happy because the school remains among the good schools,” said director Mauricio Aguerrebere.
“We are very proud because we are pleased with the school’s self-discipline, its results and what it is today ten years after its re-foundation, because it is an alternative for the city to study,” added the director.
Currently, the school has a capacity for 600 students and has established itself as an excellent educational option in Rancagua. “We have 600 students and we are one of the schools that places the most students in the university,” said Aguerrebere, also highlighting that the school “has become a good alternative for Rancagua families. We stand out for a healthy coexistence, a modern infrastructure, and academic achievements, such as outstanding results in literature, artistic and cultural festivals,” said Aguerrebere.
The institution, with a modern infrastructure that includes an auditorium, laboratories, library, gymnasium and more, has adapted to the needs of the 21st century, focusing on the training of women leaders in the region.
“It is an emblematic high school with a tradition that combines the challenges of the 21st century and is focused on the training of women leaders in the region. In this way, girls from Rancagua and surrounding communities now have a new option to continue their primary and secondary education studies,” concluded the director.
In this way, the Rancagua Girls’ High School remains a pillar of education in the city, committed to the comprehensive education and development of its students, offering a variety of workshops and extracurricular activities that foster the academic and personal growth of its students.
