The extent of the symptoms forces the 28-year-old singer to cancel two concert dates in Toronto. “If the acoustic nerve is also affected, this syndrome can lead to hearing disorders, tinnitus and vertigo,” explains Michel Moutschen, head of the infectiology department at the CHU de Liège. “It’s rarer, but a change of voice can occur in the so-called laryngeal forms. »
