Police Sweden revealed that more and more children in the country are contacting criminal gangs to offer their services as contract killer. This was stated at the time criminal gangs rampant in Sweden recently, with at least three people murdered in the last 24 hours.
As reported AFP, Saturday (30/9/2023), Sweden in recent years has been hit by many bloody conflicts between criminal gangs fighting over weapons and drug trafficking routes. The situation is further aggravated by increasing internal strife within one of the leading criminal gangs.
Apartment buildings and houses in various regions of Sweden were shaken by explosions. Shootings, which previously occurred only in underdeveloped areas, are now a regular occurrence in public places in the usually peaceful, wealthy country.
Swedish Police Chief Anders Thornberg, in a statement to journalists on Friday (29/9), revealed that his party had received reports that more and more children were making direct contact with criminal gangs to offer themselves as hitmen.
“We have a situation where children contact criminal gangs,” he said.
“Criminals are cruel,” Thornberg said.
He added that criminal gangs also contact people, often minors, to teach them to become hitmen.
“Equipping them with weapons and giving them addresses to launch attacks,” Thornberg said.
In fact, added Thornberg, some of the victims were still young.
