The incident with the ‘ramming rider’ – as the suspect is called on social media – took place on November 11.
The boy cycled with four classmates on the Overgauwseweg towards the Stanislas College in Pijnacker. The man met the students from the roundabout. The children rode their bicycles side by side, causing the runner and the cyclists to pass each other very close. The man would have hit the boy in the face and continued on his way.
Similar incident
The police are still investigating whether the man is also responsible for the abuse of a 21-year-old woman later that day on the Oudeweg.
The two victims both gave roughly the same description of their attacker. The police are still investigating whether it concerns the same suspect in both cases. It would be a man of between 50 and 60 years of about 1.8 meters tall and of normal build.
The arrested man from Pijnacker has been released by the police and will later have to answer for the abuse of the student.
