Ramen Restaurant “Debu-chan” in Japan Implements No Phone Rule During Meal Time

The owner of the ramen restaurant “Debu-chan” in Japan has set a special rule for his customers if they want to enjoy the delicious food in the restaurant’s premises, “UPI” reports.

The owner of the restaurant has forbidden his customers to use phones during the meal.

Kota Kai, the owner of “Debu-chan”, explains that he adopted this rule for two simple reasons.

He wants customers to vacate the restaurant’s tables as soon as possible, and also wants all attention to be paid to the delicious food.

Kota Kai explains that he has observed that many customers spend a very long time in the restaurant simply because they are watching various videos on their smartphones while eating. Thus, because of such people, others may end up without their meal because the eatery is full.

Also, if the food is not eaten immediately, but the attention is diverted from it, its taste and texture change.

Currently, in order to comply with the rules, when a restaurant owner sees someone using their phone during a meal, they ask them to put it away.
