Kolkata: Super catch in IPL 2024 between Kolkata Knight Riders and Lucknow Super Giants. Ramandeep Singh took a catch at backward point to dismiss Lucknow’s Deepak Hooda, who lost the toss and came out to bat. Aussie pacer Mitchell Starc’s fourth ball of the fourth over in the Lucknow innings, when Hooda’s shot narrowly missed, Ramandeep took the ball with a full-length dive. This turned out to be one of the best catches of this IPL. Hooda, who spent 10 balls at the crease, managed to score only eight runs. Deepak Hooda’s return to the playing XI was a huge disappointment.

After winning the toss at Eden Gardens, Kolkata Knight Riders captain Shreyas Iyer chose to bowl. Harshit Rana replaces finisher Rinku Singh in KKR’s playing XI. Rinku has been included in the list of impact substitute players. Meanwhile, Shamar Joseph, Deepak Hooda and Mohsin Khan have replaced Devdut Patikal and Naveen Ul Haq in the Lucknow Supergiants line-up. This is the IPL debut for West Indies pacer Shemar.
