Ramadan Discount, Add Electricity Only Pay IDR 202,100

JAKARTA, KOMPAS.com – PT PLN (Persero) again offered promo for adding electricity through two programs, namely Ramadan Peduli for household customers and Ramadan Berkah for houses of worship.

This promo starts from today until 31 May 2021.

Director of Commerce and Customer Management for PLN, Bob Saril, explained that through Ramadan Peduli, household customers with 450 VA-7,700 VA power can enjoy an additional power promo to 2,200 VA-11,000 VA by only paying IDR 202,100.

But this promo can be obtained, if the customer buys a Renewable Energy Certificate (REC) product for Rp. 115,500, which will later get an e-voucher for an added power promo. Redeem e-vouchers through the PLN Mobile application.

Bob said, by buying REC products, customers are already involved in supporting renewable energy development, as well as participating in social actions in the form of installing electricity for underprivileged people.

“So there are two functions, partly to develop renewable energy and partly to help customers with free electricity assistance for households who have not received electricity due to their inability,” he said in a virtual press conference, Tuesday (6/4/2021).

Thus, in total, the costs incurred to add power to household customers is Rp. 317,600. However, Bob assessed that the cost is far below the normal cost of added power.

For example, adding power from 900 VA to 2,200 VA, which normally costs Rp. 1.2 million or adding power from 1,300 VA to 2,200 VA with normal costs reaching Rp. 843,300.

Meanwhile, through Ramadan Berkah, social customers specifically for places of worship with a power of 450 VA-7,700 VA, can get a connection promo plus power of 2,200 VA-11,000 VA by only paying Rp 150,000.

“This does not only apply to houses of worship such as mosques, prayer rooms, or violations, but all existing houses of worship,” added Bob.

Customers can access the added power service through the PLN Mobile application in the service feature, select the power change option, then enter the Customer ID or meter number.

Then customers can choose the power, service products, and needs they want. Then select continue, then enter the customer’s personal data and the application will be processed by PLN.

“Hopefully this program can make it easier for customers to get electrical services,” he concluded.
