The music of the song was written by singer Ralfs Eilands together with trumpet player, arranger, composer and conductor of Liepaja Music Orchestra Jānis Ivuškāns, illustrating the rebel, irony and spirit of youthful maximalism in the musical mood, which was probably characteristic of the poet himself.
The video was made in Liepāja, creating crossroads between cultural and historical values and the stylistics of today’s musical culture – in the music of Ralph Eiland and Jānis Ivuškāns.
The message of the song expresses a very characteristic intonation of E. Veidenbaum’s poetic mood, in which, maneuvering between irony, destiny and not always convenient, but often obvious truth, it is said: “Each other is called a fool, a villain, Who is wise, who is good, no one knows: Thoughts and judgments go through darkness, And the end is such an introduction for everyone. Who knows whether a man is wiser, who makes the usual measure of things so much: Everything in nature is mixed, nothing is pure there, everything is measured by the size of the surface. (…) ”.
The composition was created for the content of the musical life story “Don’t Escape from Veidenbaum”, which is included in the program “School Bag” and has virtually traveled to half of Latvia, creating intrigue among young people and illuminating autobiographical nuances in the life and work of poet E. Veidenbaum.
