Unlike the overall Folkreis and autocross evaluations discussed above, the Mūsa Thriller will be the decisive event of the season in rallycross, as the Latvian Rallycross Championship will end with this race. The last stage – it means the distribution of championship titles and cup competitions!

According to autocross.lv, before the Mūsa stage in the Super 1600 class the champion is already known – the victory of Vilkiči gave the title of champion to Juris Spīķis. This means that Juris has become a three-time Latvian champion, adding this year’s title to the 2016 Latvian autocross champion title in the 2000 Super class and the title achieved last year in the rallycross Touring class.

If there are no dramatic surprises, Arnis Odiņš is close to the second place in the overall rating. However, at a special coincidence of circumstances, Juris Narubins and, dangerously for Odiņš, also Janno Ligurs, mathematically a few others, can rise to the second place.

In the Lada RX class this year, Edvards Egle demonstrates both speed and stability of results. In the past three stages, he has accumulated all three pedestal positions and is the main contender for victory. The winner of the first stage, Marcis Martinovs, is still half as dangerous for him, but last year’s champion Sigmar Tammemegi will need a miracle to miss Tukums.

Jānis Ikers is close to the title of champion in the Touring 2000 class – if everything goes without bright drama, Jānis has every opportunity to secure the title. If with drama, then Jānis Miščenko has a chance to achieve the title, mathematically also Kaspars Fricson and Vari Žentiņš. Ikers has won two and one second place this year.

Mathematically, Ronalds Baldiņš is not yet the winner of the overall rating in the Xtreme class of the Latvian Cup, but there is one serious trouble: none of the next four followers have applied for the race. This means that if the Estonians Kiel, Kakri, Abram and Triss do not show up (and the WRC stage in Estonia probably means that), Ronalds will become the winner of the Latvian Cup before the start. In addition, Reinis Nitišs has the opportunity to move from the sixth place to the second.

Mārtiņš Prūsis is having a great debut season in the BMW RX3000 class this year – no matter how interesting the finals are, he has noticed that he has won all three stages. Accordingly, a fairly secure leadership position before the last race. Meanwhile, during the season, Raivis Geriks demonstrates great progress, who has risen from the last place in the first race to the second position before the end of the season. The fight for the second place in the overall rating will be wild, because the sixth place Andris Krieviņš is only eight points behind the second position, but Edgars and Dainis Valeiņi and Māris Mors are still in the middle.

Everything seemed unambiguous in the CK 650 class, in which Dāvis Tobias won the first two stages, having long-term superiority in the entire Baltics. However, withdrawing from the previous race in Vilkiči has exacerbated the overall situation. Laur Langepron and Karl Martin Miliste are just eight and nine points away, respectively. Davis is no longer allowed to resign.

In the junior 1000 class, in the last stage, the duel of Lithuanian Rīts Gurklis and Daiņš Zemnieks will have to be won for the overall victory – both are very close to each other.

It is clear that the most exciting thing in Mūsa Thriller will be to watch the live competition. However, if the context of individual duels is known in advance, it remains quite interesting!
