Rally Śląska 2024 in Katowice

The Katowice special stage is a strong accent inaugurating the Silesian Rally 2024. The rally cars of the best drivers on the continent took to the streets of our city – The Silesian Rally is an element of the European Rally Championship. This is a huge distinction for both the organizers and the entire region. The promotion of the FIA ​​ERC competition, the second most important rally series in the world, underlines the growing importance of this rally.

The opening ceremony of the Silesian Rally took place October 11 at ul. Dworcowa in Katowice. Later, on the city streets and in three prepared zones, fans could admire the crews and their machines from the best perspective – and an additional large screen in zone 1 allowed them to follow the competition on live television. In addition, classic motoring enthusiasts had the opportunity to see the cars competing in the event in action Historic Polish Rally Championships.

After the Katowice special stage, the rally competition moves to other towns in our region. A special place for the Śląska Rally is – traditionally – Śląski Stadium in neighboring Chorzówwhere a service park was organized.

About the Silesian Rally

The first edition of the Silesian Rally took place in 2017, immediately as a round of the Polish championship – the most important rally series in our country. In the following years, the event was gradually developed – the participants were joined by competitors in historic rally cars, the Silesian Rally selected new Polish champions and a spectacular show was organized – a special stage in the center of Katowice.

In 2023, the competition gained international status, becoming part of the European Rally Cup. They also gained recognition from the World Automobile Federation (FIA) and the promoter of the European Championship, which is the result of which promotion of Rally Śląska to the European Rally Championship (FIA ERC) – the second most important cycle in the world.

• 9:30 – 11:00 – test section: GZM (Zabrze Mikulczyce, 3.05 km).
• 11:31 – GZM qualifying section (Zabrze Mikulczyce, 3.05 km).
• 13:00 – GZM test section (Zabrze Mikulczyce, 3.05 km).
• 17:10 – autograph session with players (ul. Dworcowa, Katowice).
• 6:00 p.m. – official opening of the competition (ul. Dworcowa, Katowice).
• 20:05 – SS 1: Katowice (1.85 km).

Saturday, October 12 (7 special stages, total 96.74 km)

• 7:20 – service A: 15 min (Silesian Stadium, Chorzów).
• 9:00 – SS 2: Jastrzębie Zdrój (17.04 km).
• 10:00 – OS 3: Ochaby (10.8 km).
• 11:00 – SS 4: Jasienica Commune (19.78 km).
• 13:20 – service B: 30 min (Silesian Stadium, Chorzów).
• 15:15 – SS 5: Jastrzębie Zdrój (17.04 km).
• 16:15 – OS 6: Ochaby (10.8 km).
