Rally of nurses opposing health measures

A group of nurses who oppose health measures is holding a large rally on Sunday in Montreal. The objective of the private event, held by invitation, is to break the isolation of people who celebrated Christmas alone.

“We are heartbroken at every story of divided family and friendships. For those who will be alone and excluded during the holiday season, join our event potluck December 26, ”writes the group of Primary Nurses of Canada in an invitation shared on social networks.

To participate, all you had to do was send your personal details to a publicly shared email address. The event takes place in the format of potluck, which means that all participants were asked to bring a dish to share. Dance, music, games for children are planned.

The Primary Nurses of Canada is a grouping of nurses from several provinces of the country. They describe themselves as “defenders of medical freedom” whose “mission is to unite nurses, educate the public and bring ethics back to health care”.

In a video aimed at to promote the event, the opponent of sanitary measures Isabelle Caty invited Quebecers to come together during the holiday season.

My watchword is come together. Stop breaking up. We must break this movement that we are trying to put in place.

One of the organizing members of the nurses’ rally against health measures is Nordia German. A nurse in the public network in Quebec, she left her post because the practices employed did not match her values. She is now an “integrative health coach” according to the Primary Care Nurses of Canada website.

Limited gatherings

Since Sunday, new rules have come into effect for private gatherings. The limit of vaccinated people admitted is therefore reduced from 10 to 6, due to COVID-19.

Meetings can also take place between members of two separate family bubbles. This regulation also applies in restaurants, where large groups will no longer be admitted.

Only wedding receptions and funerals escape these new gathering limits linked to COVID-19. Under these circumstances, it is tolerated that a maximum of 25 people assemble. However, the government suggests that families who can bring back their family celebrations do so.
