Rally in front of the presidency on the occasion of one year since the beginning of the protests

A rally was held in front of the presidency to mark one year since the beginning of the protests against the previous rulers and the Chief Prosecutor Ivan Geshev, BNR reports.

More than 250 people have gathered to mark a year since the protests began over the prosecution’s entry into the presidency. This is exactly what was recalled by the first speaker on the stage.

Before the event, the caretaker Minister of Culture Velislva Minekov commented that she was here to celebrate that the state has already taken the right path of development.

The event was joined by caretaker Interior Minister Boyko Rashkov.

The movement of cars at the place of the rally has not been stopped and they pass freely.

The head of state Rumen Radev also commented on the protest that gathered the people on the occasion of the anniversary.

“We are a year away from the beginning of the mass civil demonstrations against the unprecedented attempt to abduct the rule of law. For months, thousands of Bulgarians across the country defended the statehood in Bulgaria with their presence on the squares. “Our civic valor has protected the institutions so that they work today in the interests of society, not a few,” President Rumen Radev wrote on his Facebook page.
