Rally driver Sesks in third position after the first day of Monza stage / Day

In the last race of the season, Sesks reached the third fastest time in the junior stage at the Monza Autodrome in the only speed stage, the leader Sami Pajari from Finland lost 5.3 seconds.

The second place was won by the Swede Tom Christenson, for whom Sesks lost 3.7 seconds.

Athletes will play five more stages at the Monza Autodrome on Friday, and a total of ten races are expected on Saturday and Sunday.

In Italy, rally riders are surprised by the snow, so athletes are allowed to use winter tires. JWRC class riders are allowed to use six sets of tires.

In the final stage of the season, participants have the opportunity to win one and a half times more points than in the regular stage, and athletes who have participated in all stages of the championship will not take into account the worst result of the competition.

In the JWRC class, all athletes start with Ford Fiesta vehicles.

Sesks takes the first place in the junior class with 68 points, but Christenson has ten less. Finn Pajari scored four points less.

Frenchman Sebastian Ogier (Toyota) was the fastest in the overall standings, but Belgian Terrier Neville (“Hyundai”) was 0.5 seconds behind, ahead of last year’s Estonian champion Otto Tenak (“Hyundai”) by one and a half seconds.

Fourth place went to overall leader Elfin Evans (“Toyota”), followed by Finn Kalle Rovanpere (“Toyota”), and his compatriot Esapeka Lapi (“Ford”) finished in the top six. Ferret was 52nd in the overall standings, with the leader losing 35.1 seconds.

The leader with 111 points is the British representative Elfin Evans (“Toyota”), the Frenchman Sebastian Ogie has 97 points, but Neville has ten less. Tenaks follows with 83 points.

In the first stage of the JWRC of the season, Sesks and Francis in Sweden won the second place, conceding only to Christenson, but in the second stage in Estonia they took Latvia’s first victory in this class. In the last stage in Sardinia, the Sesque was third.

Last year, Sesk had his debut year in the World Junior Championship in a Ford Fiesta R2. In JWRC class in 25 stages Seska’s crew managed to finish the best in three, in the stages the victory was won in three rallies.
