FORCECON is a conference that will take place in San Antonio, Texas, the week before Memorial Day weekend. The goal of the event is to bring together stakeholders related to the United States military, as well as the military and the general public.

The Armed Forces Sports Championship will include teams from all six branches of the Armed Forces: the Army, Marine Corps, Navy, Air Force, Space Force and Coast Guard. WWE wrestler Xavier Woods will be one of the celebrities joining the event and will serve as the host of the tournament. The esports tournaments will be streamed on the US Army Twitch channels and via YouTube.

The United States military is no stranger to gaming or esports. The US Army released its own video game in 2002, called America’s Army, and has supported numerous gaming and esports organizations.

The Army is notably a partner with Complexity Gaming, and the Army National Guard has partnered with NRG Esports. The US Army streamed on Twitch and partnered with the Call of Duty League, among other initiatives.

Esports Newsvideogames.com says: The US military is deeply connected to the North American gaming and esports scenes, which is hardly surprising as the military wants to attract potential recruits. The addition of esports to FORCECON is also a good idea as it will give service members from all branches the opportunity to compete in esports titles.
