Ralf Rangnick has made the decision to include Cristiano Ronaldo for Manchester United’s Premier League derby with Manchester City on Sunday.

The United manager will stick with star under fire Ronaldo ahead of a visit to league leaders City, according to The Sun, despite their lackluster form in recent weeks.

Rangnick is said to be hopeful that a week-long break has reinvigorated and energized his main attacking threat, who has only scored one goal in his last 10 games.

Ronaldo recently suffered his longest goalscoring drought since the 2008/09 season, his first season at Real Madrid, before scoring an impressive long-range goal against Brighton & Hove Albion.

Ronaldo, 37, made his fifth start in just 15 days last Saturday as the Red Devils drew goalless against Watford.

The Portuguese veteran missed a plethora of opportunities as he has done unusually over the last month.

However, Rangnick will have to stick with the Champions League’s all-time top scorer due to a lack of other options up front.

Marcus Rashford’s confidence is at an all-time low in an attacking sense, having struggled to make an impact all season.

Meanwhile, Edinson Cavani suffers from a groin problem that has sidelined him, though he could still be available.

United will at least be reassured by the performances of rising stars Jadon Sancho and Anthony Elanga at full-back.

Ronaldo is hoping he can rediscover something of the brilliant form that saw him score 14 goals in 20 games before his goal drought.

The club legend is not expected to stay at Old Trafford if the team fail to crack the top four this season.
