Rakow Czestochowa close to the next transfer. A Croatian gem worth over a million euros

According to the Croatian portal germanijak.hr, the new player of Raków Częstochowa is to be a 19-year-old Croatian pearl – Ante Crnac from Slovan Belupo, for whom the Polish champions would pay up to EUR 1.3 million, which would be their second largest transfer in club history after bringing John Yeboah from Śląsk Wrocław.

Ante Crnac is a 19-year-old tall (189 cm tall) striker who can also play as a winger. He is a graduate of the Dinamo Zagreb school, but he did not even make his first team debut there, because in January 2022 he went to Slaven Belupo.

The Croatian youth representative played 53 league matches for the team currently coached by Ricardo Moniz (ex-Lechia Gdańsk), scoring 11 goals and providing two assists. He started the current season in a very good style, scoring three goals in six rounds.

It is worth noting that Crnac went through all levels of Croatian youth teams, currently being a footballer of the U-21 team. And knowing how valued Croatian talents are in Europe, his transfer could be a good investment for Raków, despite spending a lot of money at the moment.

What’s more, it is possible that Raków, even despite bringing Crnac, will still be looking for a transfer of the classic “nine”. One of the candidates would be Erik Exposito, but the Spaniard’s club, Śląsk Wrocław, recently announced on social media that they do not intend to sell their captain.

Rakow Czestochowa has so far made 11 transfers in the summer transfer window. Łukasz Zwoliński (Lechia Gdańsk), John Yeboah (Śląsk Wrocław), Tomasz Walczak (Wisła Płock), Antonis Tsiftsis (Asteras Tripolis), Srdjan Plavsić (Slavia Praga), Kamil Pestka (Cracovia), Adnan Kovacevic (Ferencvaros) joined the team of the Polish champion ), Sonny Kittel (HSV Hamburg), Dawid Drachal (Miedź Legnica) and Kacper Bieszczad (Zagłębie Lubin), and Stratos Svarnas was bought from AEK Athens. In addition, Raków also signed Maxime Dominguez from Miedź Legnica, and then sold him to the Portuguese Gil Vicente a few weeks later.
