Kalpatta – A woman from Rajasthan who extorted Rs 5 lakh from a young man from Batheri after making a nude video call through Telegram has been arrested. Wayanad Cyber Police went to Jaipur and arrested the accused. Inspector Suresh Babu and his team arrested Manisha Meena (28) from Jeravada in Sawai Madepur district of Rajasthan.

In shock, the Kerala police reached Rajasthan and the young woman immediately sent the stolen money to the young man. In July 2023, the young woman cheated the young man and stole money. The young woman was caught after seven months of investigation after a complaint filed by the young man in the cyber police.

The woman started a Telegram account with a SIM card in the name of a native of Punjab and threatened a young man from Batheri after making a nude video call. The money was received through fake bank accounts.

The cyber police said that those who receive requests and video calls from the accounts of strangers can be scammers.
