According to the police, this incident of robbery and murder took place in Suras village, about two kilometers away from Raipur police station. The robbers had raided the house of Pyar Chand Kumawat (65) here on Sunday night. Both Pyar Chand Kumawat and his wife lived alone in the house. This couple used to work in agriculture. He has two sons. He does business in Ahmedabad, Gujarat. The relatives of Pyar Chand told that on Monday night his uncle and aunt were sleeping in their house.

After that, they beat up Aunt Chandi Devi and snatched her gold ornaments. Later broke the lock of the cupboard and stole cash and other jewellery. The relatives came to know about the incident at around 2 am. On this he reached there but by then Pyar Chand had died. Pyaar Chand’s wife Chandi Devi got fractured in many parts of her body in the fight.

It is being told that the robbers fled through the paths of the fields. Later the police was informed. On information, the police reached the spot and picked up the body from there and kept it in the mortuary of the local hospital. This morning the post-mortem of the dead body was done and it was handed over to the relatives. However, the special team of Karoi Police Officer Haspal Singh, Asind Police Officer Asaram and Bagor Police Officer Motilal is trying to trace the accused. At the same time, the relatives of the deceased and the villagers are protesting demanding the arrest of the robbers.
