From March 4 (opening of the exhibition on 03.03 at 17:00) until May 28, the contemporary art exhibition “Waving” can be seen in the large exhibition hall of the Liepāja Museum at Kūrmājas prospekt 16/18. The exhibition features paintings from the art collection of businessman Raivjas Zabja, as well as an art installation by Cuban artist Humberto Díaz created especially for this exhibition.
The installation of the Cuban artist Umberto Dias was created as a creative process during three weeks in Latvia, being connected with the local environment, the community and the impulses gained here.
Exhibitions of works from Raivja Zabja’s collection have been held several times in the Liepāja Museum. The latest exhibition full of experience, inspiration and historical layers in the large exhibition hall of the Liepāja Museum shows how a mutual exchange of experiences and information is formed between an artist and a collector, where neither the author, nor the name, nor other details are important, but only feelings and impressions are important. and inspiration that spurs creativity.
