The aftermath of the torrential rains that hit Mazatenango during the weekend, they continue to affect the neighbors of different sectors.
Trees and poles, caused damage to electrical, internet and cable wiring. Added to this is damage to homes in the central areas of the city. Material damage has not yet been quantified so far by local and government authorities.

The lack of electricity continues to be a situation that has affected the commercial area, specifically stores and pharmacies in neighborhoods and neighborhoods, some have had to rent electric generators to keep their products cold.

Moisés Cajas, delegate of Conred, has coordinated with elements of the army of the Fourth Infantry Brigade, General Justo Rufino Barrios, to remove the branches that fell on some houses and vehicles.

The authorities have not reported what affected the departmental capital, whether it was a storm or some type of hurricane.
