News body

Ubisoft Entertainment, a leading company in game development, distribution and publishing, has unveiled its 2021’Year 6’roadmap for its tactical multiplayer FPS game, Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six Siege. This roadmap, which was unveiled at the Rainbow Six Siege Community event on the 21st, includes various content updates and function improvements that will be reflected in the game this year.

First, we released CRIMSON HEIST, the content of the first season of Year 6. New raid member Flores joins CRIMSON HEIST. Flores, from Argentina, is able to move remotely controlled explosives to key points on the battlefield for a limited time. This device can lead to a powerful explosion after a limited time or when the device is activated directly, causing great damage to nearby enemies at any desired timing.

At CRIMSON HEIST, you can also see the newly reworked Border Map. First, the inner balcony connecting the east staircase and the common room was transformed, and the bathroom was expanded to connect with the teller space. In addition, the number of destructible walls was reduced, some access roads were blocked, inducing a high-density battle, and an additional external staircase was installed, enabling more diverse tactical team play.

Rainbow Six Siege also announced a number of key updates related to gameplay. First, a new secondary weapon, Gonne-6, will be added to the game, and players who die in battle will be able to control cameras and gadgets so that they can continue to help the team’s power. In particular, by announcing partnerships with Capcom and Resident Evil, various skins and items will be introduced, and more customization options will be provided, allowing players to customize their crew to their liking.

Various new systems and functions are also introduced to create a healthy gameplay environment. First, the player reputation system is officially operational this year. The system analyzes players’ behaviors, rewards players who have a positive influence in the game, and can impose measures such as restricting access to information to malicious players. In addition, in the newly introduced streamer mode, you can hide your name, region, ping, profile image, etc., so you can create desired game content while being protected from malicious viewers.

Meanwhile, Ubisoft is working closely with partner Microsoft Azure to reduce matchmaking time and significantly improve server stability, and will continue to provide a high level of gaming experience with more thorough preparation against DDoS attacks that have already been reduced by 90%. .

New Content Updates CRIMSON HEIST and some of the in-game features mentioned in the Year 6 roadmap can be pre-experienced through the Windows PC test server client, and more details can be found on the official website.
