With Operation Steel Wave, the tactical shooter Rainbow Six Siege, released on December 1, 2015, is facing its 18th season. Like Thermite and Hibana, it can be stopped and destroyed by an actively playing bandit or kaid, since the animation takes long enough to activate. Mute can also temporarily stop the hardbreaking with Ace.
As an aid, the Norwegian can choose between smoke grenades and explosive charges. Unlike previously announced in Leaks, he cannot use the C7E assault rifle. The AK-12 (known from Fuze) and the shotgun M1014, which can be found at the FBI’s operators, are available to him in the game. As a secondary weapon, he has the P9 used by the GIGN.

The South African defender is playable with the T-5 SMG, which is also used by Lesion, or the shotgun Super 90, which can be selected in frost. As a handgun, Ubisoft gave her the RG-15 used by the Polish GROM operators.
Changes for ranked games
Since Ubisoft is currently fighting heavily against cheaters and so-called smurf accounts (second accounts), it will be necessary in or from Operation Steel Wave to reach level 50 before you can participate in games with rank. In addition, no one will be able to achieve the champion rank in the future if they have not completed at least 100 matches with the respective account.

Paintings for weapon attachments, Echo Elite and more
In addition to the new operators, further changes and, above all, innovations appear with the new season. With Echo there is the latest elite uniform in the game, which can be purchased for R6 credits. However, Ubisoft caused a surprise with the announcement of future weapon attachment skins.
This means that every player can use Operation Steel Wave to unlock and equip paintwork for weapon attachments. There will be different shades and black will also be available. For example, the beige color of the holographic visor can be adapted to suit the individual weapon camouflage and dyed accordingly.

In today’s announcement, viewers also learned that the new Secondary Gadget / Aid Defender officially appears in the game. This gadget is a motion detector that the player can throw anywhere.
