Rain: tomorrow yellow alert in 11 districts rain alert in 11 districts of Kerala

Kozhikode: Today there were heavy rains in various districts of the state. Today the yellow alert went off in 11 districts. The yellow alert was also announced in 11 districts on Tuesday.

Tomorrow the yellow alert is in force in the districts of Alappuzha, Kottayam, Idukki, Ernakulam, Thrissur, Palakkad, Malappuram, Kozhikode, Wayanad, Kannur and Kasaragod. Today, the yellow alert is in force in these districts.

The rains are caused by cyclonic circulation over north Kerala, north Tamil Nadu and south Karnataka. It is likely to enter the southeastern Arabian Sea. According to the Central Meteorological Department, it is likely to intensify into a low pressure by Dec. 13 and move away from the Indian coast.
