Dr. Manar Ghanem, a member of the media office of the General Authority of Meteorology, said that starting today we are witnessing a noticeable decrease in temperatures, as a result of wind activity coming from southern Europe and an extension of an air depression in the upper layers of the atmosphere.
Ghanem added to Masrawy, today, that the average temperature in Cairo until the end of the week is 16 to 17 degrees during the day, and 8 to 10 at night, pointing out that the current period is witnessing the formation of frost in North Sinai, and snow on St. Catherine.
She pointed out that the chances of rain are limited to the northern coasts and Lower Egypt, and it is from light to medium, but starting from Tuesday, the chances of rain begin to increase on the northern and eastern coasts, and it is from heavy to moderate.
And she continued, “Light rain is expected to reach Cairo next Tuesday, as well as areas of southern Upper Egypt.”
