A rain and electrical storm that began to unfold in the commune of Calama from 5:00 p.m., registering precipitations with different intensity in Calama and with the generation of thunder and lightning, a phenomenon that with the passing of the hours left several streets of Calama, mostly in the western sector of the city completely flooded.
As a result of the rains, several houses in the western sector of Calama have been flooded, to this is added an emergency at the Calama airport, where part of the roof of the enclosure fell off from a second floor as a result of the fall of water.
The Calama Fire Department is stationed at level 1, responding to a series of emergencies, including flooding homes and even fires.
As a result of the intense rainfall and electrical storm that affected the commune, several sectors of the city remain without electricity.
An emergency COE is being carried out this Tuesday night, where the measures that will be implemented to help the affected people are analyzed.
