He was the preferred candidate, even if one scandal followed the next in his coaching past. But now Linz manager Gregor Baumgartner told the “Kronen Zeitung” that Raimo Summanen will not take over the coaching position in Linz.
Certain parameters would not have been right, says Baumgartner, whose search for a trainer starts from the beginning. They would have liked to present the new coach during the international break, but it’s not about time, but about making it fit.
There are now two new candidates and there are enough good coaches on the market, Baumgartner continues.
Mark Szücs and Jürgen Penker, who previously acted as interim trainers, will therefore continue to take over the helm until they have found what they are looking for.
