The Ministry of Transportation stated that PT Railink will leave as the operator of the Soekarno-Hatta Airport train. Later, PT Kereta Commuter Indonesia (KCI) will replace Railink managing the Soekarno-Hatta Airport train.
Risal stated that there had been a decision between the two companies to replace the operator for the Soekarno-Hatta Airport Train.
“The Soetta Airport train to KCI, Railink is no longer operating in Jakarta,” said Director General of Railways of the Ministry of Transportation Risal Wasal when met by journalists at his office, Central Jakarta, Thursday (2/3/2023).
In fact, according to Risal, there is a possibility that the operation of the Yogyakarta Airport Train will also be given directly to KCI.
“The KAI operator wants to hand over some of the airport trains to KCI, those in Jakarta have been handed over to KCI, maybe those in Yogya have also been handed over. They also have service efficiency,” said Risal.
The Soekarno-Hatta Airport Train itself currently serves the train route from Soekarno-Hatta Airport to Manggarai Station in the center of Jakarta.
