COMPLIANCE WORK ON THE BLAISY-BAS (21) TUNNEL ON THE DIJON-PARIS LINE FROM SEPTEMBER 14 TO NOVEMBER 13, 2020
THE WORKSITE
This operation consists of carrying out soundings and reinforcing several areas of the tunnel, which is 4 kilometers long, thanks to the construction of a sprayed concrete coating. The cost of this work amounts to € 4.5 million, financed by SNCF Réseau.

SNCF Réseau, manager of the national rail network, is undertaking work to reinforce the Blaisy-Bas tunnel (21), on the Dijon-Paris line, from September 14 to November 13.
This operation aims to contribute to the performance of the network by guaranteeing optimal conditions of regularity and safety of rail traffic.
The Blaisy-Bas tunnel (21), 4,110 meters long, has 2 lanes which were built between 1846 and 1849. Several works to reinforce and restore the masonry have been carried out since 1850, but it is today It is necessary to carry out more substantial modernization work on this work.
CONDUCT OF WORK
The work is carried out during the day, from September 14 to November 13, Monday to Friday, 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. In addition, there are five ‘punch’ operations that will take place day and night over 5 weekends in September and October:
– From Saturday September 26, 2020 to Sunday September 27,
– From Saturday October 3, 2020 to Sunday October 4,
– From Saturday 10 October 2020 to Sunday 11 October,
– From Saturday October 17, 2020 to Sunday October 18,
– From Saturday 24 October 2020 to Sunday 25 October.
TRAVELER INFORMATION
As part of this work, rail traffic will be interrupted on the Dijon – Laroche – Paris line, resulting in the following adaptations:
– A replacement coach service is set up during these 5 weekends with a limited number of places. Travelers are encouraged to postpone their trip whenever possible.
– No direct TER will run between Dijon and Laroche-Migennes.
– Many TER Dijon / Les Laumes will be canceled.
– No TER will run between Les Laumes Alésia and Laroche-Migennes.
– TGV from / to Bourgogne-Franche-Comté and Lyria from / to Lausanne or Zurich using the Dijon – Paris line are canceled.
Customers from / to Lausanne can however take TGV Lyria via Geneva.
In addition, due to other concomitant works on the weekends of October 3/4, 10/11 and 17/18 on the TER Laroche – Paris line, rail traffic is also interrupted on this line. Thus, the Laroche Migennes – Paris omnibus TER are limited to Montereau. Travelers to Paris are invited to take the Transilien line R trains from Montereau.

IMPACT OF THE WORK
As with any site of this magnitude, the work carried out in the Blaisy-Bas tunnel is accompanied by perceptible noise pollution in the work areas, close to the residential areas. Aware of the disruptions that this site will cause, SNCF Réseau is raising the awareness of its staff and construction companies in order to reduce them as much as possible.
