Many delays and cancellations were announced this Monday, July 5 in the morning on the Nancy-Metz-Luxembourg line, according to the SNCF official account on Twitter, TER Nancy-Metz-Lux.
Rail traffic is indeed “interrupted between Luxembourg and Bettembourg following a power failure”, announced the railway company shortly after 6am.
All TER trains are therefore limited to Bettembourg, with already several delays and cancellations during peak hours, in both directions of traffic.
Suspension for “several hours”
The CFL, the Luxembourg railways, explain for their part that a “catenary break in Berchem” is at the origin of these disturbances.
A traffic suspension is therefore to be expected “for several hours”, according to them, but “replacement buses have been put in place”.
