According to Deutsche Bahn, several switches and switch controllers cannot be operated. The section between the main station and Spandau is affected. According to the preliminary status of the investigation, a technical reason was rejected, it was said.
Long-distance trains will be rerouted via the northern outer ring of Berlin and Gesundbrunnen. There is no stopping in Spandau.

On their website, the S-Bahn talks about damage in the Jungfernheide area. According to the fire department, five meters of cable burned on the railway bank between Beusselstrasse and Jungfernheide stations. The fire was extinguished. According to the initial status of the investigation, a technical reason was rejected. A federal police spokesperson told rbb that a suspected arson attack was being investigated.
The repairs are said to take some time. The restrictions are expected to last until the evening. The railway wants you to avoid the Jungfernheide area and move to the BVG.
