A fire broke out on Saturday night around Sunday, around 1.30 am, on a freight train loaded with cereals, located in Poarta station near Teregova, Caraş-Severin county. The intervention of the firemen was a difficult one because the water supply of the intervention vehicles could be done from a river located 10 kilometers away, and the locomotive had a 10,000 liter tank full of oil. The fire was extinguished only on Sunday morning, after 8.30.
According to the representatives of the Caraş-Severin Emergency Situations Inspectorate, the firemen were called, around 01.30, to put out the fire that broke out on a freight train loaded with cereals that was stationed in Poarta, near Teregova.
The fire occurred at the train locomotive, and it was decoupled from the rest of the set, so that the fire did not spread to the wagons.
The intervention of the firemen was a difficult one, because the supply of the special vehicles with which it was intervened could be done at a river located ten kilometers away, and the locomotive had a 10,000 liter tank full of oil.
The fire was extinguished only around 08.30, and now it is to be determined what started the fire.
According to ISU Caraş-Severin, there were no victims after the fire and the train traffic was not disturbed either.
