Kimi Raikonen and Antonio Giovanni will continue to compete in the Alfa Romeo team in the 2021 season, while Mika Schumacher is preparing to join the Haas team.
There was still talk during the season about a possible change of pilots in the Alfa Romeo team and it was not ruled out that one or even both drivers would leave the former Sauber team. In addition, Giovanniaci’s driving position is controlled by the Ferrari Pilot Academy, which is looking for an opportunity to make an F1 debut for Mika Schumacher, who is currently the leader of the Formula 2 Championship. However, Alfa Romeo is determined to remain stable and Raikonen, who is just 41 years old, will continue to compete in the unit, while Giovanni, who performs episodically, has retained the confidence of the Ferrari Academy.
Mike Schumacher, among others, is currently preparing to join the Haas team, and several media outlets say that all he has to do is complete the formalities before he can move to the American unit. Ferrari plans to strengthen its technical cooperation with Haas and has gained one pilot’s seat in the team. Schumacher will most likely be joined by Nikita Mazepin, a Formula 2 driver with significant financial support.
