Česká spořitelna from the Erste Group also announced a double-digit increase in profit by 43.4 percent to 6.6 billion crowns on Friday. Next week, ČSOB and Komerční banka will publish the results.

The Dutch bank ING, which is ending the operation of personal banking services in the Czech Republic this year, has given its clients the opportunity to switch to this institution on favorable terms in agreement with Raiffeisenbank.

“In the second quarter, we focused on serving clients who came to us from ING,” commented Raiffeisenbank’s CEO Igor Vida on the results.

“At the moment, we have transferred more clients in our portfolio than our planned target, more than 60 percent of deposits and 90 percent of investments,” added Vida, who added significant progress in digitization to the positive news.

The volume of loans provided to clients at Raiffeisenbank decreased by 0.6 percent to CZK 251 billion. The decrease occurred mainly on the part of companies in the form of project loans. The volume of deposits received from clients increased by 28.3 percent year on year to CZK 411 billion.

UniCredit Bank increased the volume of deposits by 12 percent year-on-year to CZK 457 billion. The volume of provided loans increased by eight percent to 472 billion crowns.
