The Raiffeisenbank Region Braunau is building a service center with around 3000 square meters of rentable space in the city of Braunau in place of the so-called “Danna” house. Construction will start in spring 2021, with completion scheduled for spring 2023.
A primary care center with doctors is also to be set up in the new building. Fixed tenants in the four-story “Raiffeisen Service Center Braunau” are Upper Austria. Insurance, Real Treuhand Immobilien, the law firm Dr. Schertler / Dr. Paischer and the company Laturo Personalservice. The Zagler café on the ground floor should offer space to relax. A tobacconist should also move in.
Care center with doctors
The “Raiffeisen Auditorium” event hall is set up on the first floor and is connected to the existing bank building by a bridge. This will be used exclusively by the Raiffeisenbank in the future. A primary care center is planned on two floors, in which several general practitioners will work together with other medical staff such as physiotherapists or nurses. This should also counteract the shortage of general practitioners.
Discussions about the primary care center are in progress with the Braunau hospital, the health insurance company and the district doctor’s representative Kurt Roitner, according to the project engineers who are addressing interested doctors. “With this new building, we want to invest part of our equity capital over the long term and generate rental income from it,” said CEO Robert Schertler.
There are also plans – for the first time in Braunau and if the geological conditions permit – a two-storey underground car park with space for more than 30 cars and equipped with an e-charging station. A PV system is planned for the roof.
The Raiffeisenbank Region Braunau is one of the ten largest Raiffeisen banks in Upper Austria. The current business volume is around 1.2 billion euros, the equity ratio around 26 percent, according to the bank, which has 60 employees.
