In the week dedicated by Rai to the Sanremo Festival 2022, Mediaset takes a step back, giving up some of the regular appointments, such as the Big Brother Vip e You’ve Got Mail, replaced by first-run TV movies. We see how the Rai and Mediaset TV schedule changes between 1 and 5 February 2022.
Sanremo 2022: how the Mediaset schedule changes
No heated challenge against the Sanremo Festival 2022, as it happened until a few years ago. In fact, this time too Mediaset has decided to take a step back, not broadcasting the Big Brother Vip Friday 4th February e You’ve Got Mail Saturday 5th February. Both shows will return the following week, on the usual days and times.
Mediaset has decided to focus on cinema, with various first-run TV titles: on Tuesday on Italia 1 there will be Us, Thursday on Canale 5 we will see Cetto There Undoubtedly, Friday Beware of the Gorilla on Channel 5 e Still wishes for your death on Italia 1. The 4 February appointment on Rete 4 with the journalistic program remains unchanged Fourth Degree. Finally, even Sunday 6 February will not be broadcast Friends 21, last week stopped due to some cases of Covid-19, the next to give space to a longer episode of Very true, who will try to counter the special of Sunday In with all the artists competing at the Festival.
A wise choice made by Mediaset, not to burn hot appointments in the evenings which risk not being rewarded at all by the ratings. Amadeus therefore has all the credentials for record data again this year, as it should be, given that Sanremo it is once again a meeting point for all Italians and generalist TV, especially with the pandemic still in progress.
The schedule changes at Rai for the Sanremo 2022 Festival
Not only Mediaset, even Rai itself has revolutionized its programming to make room for Sanremo. The in-depth programs will speak almost exclusively of the Festival, after a week dedicated toelection of the President of the Republic.
Doc 2 – in your hands, the successful medical drama with Luca Argentero, will be stopped this week, and will return to prime time on Thursday 10 February. After the special of Door to door dedicated to Mattarella, Such and what from Carlo Conti will not air for the second week in a row, and will return in prime time on Saturday 12 February, for the usual challenge with You’ve Got Mail. Afterwards you should leave room for The Masked Singer from Milly Carlucci, the mystery show which has now reached its third edition and which has conquered everyone.
Among the curiosities in the Rai schedule this week is the decision not to send advertising spots on the first channel in the time slot that goes from 18 to 20:30, following the new rules on advertising crowds. For the rest, the schedule remains unchanged, even with the return of It is always noon conducted by Antonella Clerici, which last week aired in fits and starts to give space to the TG1 special on the election to the Colle.
