Indian police have arrested a restless and disorderly passenger on a flight after a woman on an Air India flight from New York complained that he urinated on her in business class.
Police spokesman Suman Nalva said on Sunday that police arrested the passenger, “Shankar Mishra” in the southern city of Bengaluru and transferred him to the Indian capital on Saturday. A New Delhi court has sent Mishra to jail for 14 days while police investigate the complaint, according to the Associated Press.
Although police claimed Mishra was a passenger on the flight, he was Wells Fargo Banking GroupOn Friday, he said he had withdrawn the services of an Indian official at its branch in India following a complaint lodged by a 72-year-old female passenger with the Air India administration regarding an incident that occurred on Nov. 26 during a flight from New York to New Delhi, in which she accused him of urinating on her while under the influence of alcohol.
And the banking group confirmed that “Wells Fargo requires its employees to respect strict rules in terms of professional and personal behavior”, noting that “these allegations are of great concern”.
Wells Fargo explained that the official was fired from his job, without giving Mishra’s name or specifying the position he took on in the group, and confirmed that he is collaborating with the police in this regard.
The airline filed a lawsuit against him, and in a statement released by Mishra’s defense agents and presented to the media, confirmed that they had reached a resolution to the passenger issue in the aftermath of the crash, according to AFP.
