A fire raged on Thursday evening in a barn on the Esperenweg in Oostelbeers. The barn, which adjoins a farm, has been completely lost. The living area has sustained extensive damage.
Earth-moving machines are stored in the shed. It is not yet clear how many vehicles are inside. It is also not clear how big the shed is.
The fire brigade has been deployed with large equipment. There are three fire extinguishers and a cherry picker to fight the fire.
No one was injured. For residents, shelter is arranged in consultation with the Salvage Foundation. The cause of the fire is currently unknown.
