Rafia receives a surprise from Al-Qadri and chases the dream of returning to the Tunisian national team
The talent of the Italian Juventus team loaned to the Italian club Pescara, Hamza Rafia, has been away from the Tunisian national team over the past months, as his last appearance dates back to more than a year, specifically in the 2022 African Cup of Nations in Cameroon.
Rafia was again absent from the Tunisian national team’s list to face Libya back and forth on March 24 and 28, in the 2024 African Cup of Nations qualifiers, Ivory Coast, to raise questions again, about his future with the “Carthage Eagles” team.
Despite this, the coach of the Tunisian national team, Jalal Al-Qadri, sent a message to Rafia and restored hope for him to join the team in the future, saying in a statement to Al-Araby Al-Jadeed that “Hamza went through a difficult situation when he left Juventus and moved to Pescara, so we decided to give him time to adapt.” With his new team and the atmosphere of the Italian third division.
The coach concluded by saying, “We will wait for Hamza to emerge. We are well aware of his potential, and when he regains his full physical qualifications, the doors of the team will be open to him. He will always remain a member of the Tunisian national team, and it is not excluded that he will join us again.”
With these statements, Al-Qadri denies the technical reports that indicated that he had excluded Rafia from his accounts because he was playing in the Italian third division championship, so that hope would return again to the 23-year-old to return to the “Carthage Eagles” squad in the future.
