The Kings took the lead twice thanks to hits from Anze Kopitar (18th) and Gabriel Vilardi (38th / PP). Dallas managed to equalize twice through Tyler Seguin (20th) and Miro Heiskanen (51st), each outnumbered. In extra time, Denis Gurianow became the match winner for Dallas. The 24-year-old Russian scored 45 seconds before overtime expired.

The Kings were clearly the more active team in their third defeat in a row and were ahead of the shots on goal with 45:23. Dallas goalkeeper Braden Holtby could only be beaten twice, making the 32-year-old Canadian also the father of success for the stars.
