Raffl scores decisively for Dallas outnumbered

Michael Raffl from Villach has helped the Dallas Stars in the NHL with his seventh goal of the season to an important home win in the fight for the play-off spots. The forward scored on Saturday against the ailing San Jose Sharks in the second period from a counter-attack with a man down to make it 2-0. After Raffl’s first goal since the end of February, the Stars finally got the upper hand 2-1.

This kept the Texans tied for second place behind the Nashville Predators in the race for the two wildcard spots in the West after 75 of 82 games. The lead over Las Vegas, who played a game more, is four points. After home successes, the Calgary Flames (9-1 against Arizona), the St. Louis Blues (6-5 aet against Minnesota) and the Boston Bruins (2-1 against Pittsburgh) are firmly in the play-offs.
