Rafael van der Vaart sees Cristiano Ronaldo ahead of Lionel Messi: “Prefer him for his mentality”

He sees the Portuguese, with whom he was on the pitch between 2009 and 2010, ahead of his eternal rival Lionel Messi. “There will never be a player like him or Messi again. By the way, I prefer Ronaldo because of his mentality and because he has won everywhere,” said van der Vaart.

In 2008, the 109-time Dutch international moved from Hamburger SV to Real Madrid for 15 million euros. A year later, Los Blancos brought Ronaldo from Manchester United for 94 million euros, with whom van der Vaart played a total of 21 games.
