While Rafael Nadal will make his return after almost a year of absence, all eyes are on him in Brisbane. And every piece of information is good to take. Holger Rune, the tournament’s No. 1 seed, was full of praise for the Spaniard after sharing a training session with him.
A privileged witness to the state of form of the former world No. 1, the Dane confided all the good things he thought about Nadal’s level of play for his recovery.
“It’s funny because after training I told my team that I thought their level of play was incredible. He was already hitting very hard from the start, and when we started the points I found that he was moving very well, very quickly. The intensity he imposes is incredible. I had a very intense winter preparation, just like my end of season, but this training was undoubtedly the hardest in six months.”
