Rafael Nadal Withdraws from Australian Open Due to Injury: Potential Farewell to Grand Slam

Rafael Nadal announced this Sunday that he will not participate in the Australian Open due to a “micro tear in a muscle”, just a week after his return to the courts after almost a year without competing due to injuries.

“Right now I am not prepared to compete at the highest level in five-set matches. I am going to fly back to Spain to see my doctor, receive treatment and rest,” Nadal said on his ‘X’ account, formerly called Twitter.
