The Spanish tennis player Rafael Nadal, current number three in the world, confirmed his participation in the Masters 1000 ATP in Cincinnati, in the United States, which will be held from the 14th to the 21st of this month.
“Very happy to play again in Cincy. Flying there tomorrow,” Nadal wrote on his official Instagram account.
The Cincinnati tournament will represent the return of the former world number one after an abdominal injury that ruled him out of the Wimbledon semifinals, the third Grand Slam of the year, against Australian Nick Kyrgios, and the Masters 1000 in Montreal, Canada.

The return to the circuit will serve the greatest Grand Slam winner (22) to prepare for the US Open that will take place from August 29 to September 11.
Nadal, 36, won the Cincinnati Masters 1000 in 2013. Swiss Roger Federer is the most successful with seven titles.
