Rumors are spreading that Paulo Fonseca will bench Rafael Leao and Tammy Abraham for tomorrow’s Serie A match against Udinese, while Theo Hernandez is already suspended.

It will kick off on Saturday at San Siro at 17.00:16.00 UK time (17.00 GMT).

The Rossoneri urgently need a boost following their 2-1 defeat to Fiorentina, a match which continues to spark controversy after both Theo Hernandez and Abraham had penalties saved by David De Gea.

The fact that neither of the two spot kicks were taken by Christian Pulisic irked the manager, so with Theo Hernandez banned for two matches for insulting the referee, Abraham should be benched in favor of Alvaro Morata.

Even more remarkable is the relationship that Rafael Leao will remain out of the starting eleven, inserting Noah Okafor, while Pulisic will be able to play in a more central role as an attacking midfielder and Samuel Chukwueze on the right.

Milan shelve Rafael Leao after the bad performance

Leao was on international duty with Portugal and Milan have seven games in a 21-day period, so resting him might seem like a logical thing to do.

Inevitably, every time the famous man is left out, it still hits the headlines and leads to speculation that there’s a lot more going on behind the scenes.

So far this season, Leao has scored one goal and provided four assists in nine matches across Serie A and the Champions League.
