Rafa Nadal y Carlos Alcaraz lead the Spanish team for the final phase of the Davis Cup 2024 tennis, which will be held from November 19 to 24 in Malaga.
The 22-time Grand Slam winner is the big news for the Spanish team to play the Davis Cup Final 8, a quintet where they also repeat Pablo CarrenoOlympic bronze in Tokyo 2020; Marcel Granollersworld number one in doubles; and Roberto Bautista.

The news would mark Rafa Nadal’s return to the Davis Cup for the first time since 2019, when he led Spain to what is to date the last of the six titles it has won in this tournament. Nadal participated in five of them as a player… And in the 2000 tournament he was present as the team’s standard-bearer.
Spain sealed its place in the Davis Cup Final 8 as the top seed in Group B, which took place in Valencia from 10 to 15 September. There, it beat the Czech Republic (3-0), France (3-1) and Australia (2-1), runners-up in the last two editions.
For the final phase of the 2024 Davis Cup, Spain was paired in the quarterfinals with the Netherlands, in a tie that will be played from November 19 to 21. The Dutch team will be composed of Tallon Griekspoor, Botic Van de Zandschulp, Jesper de Jong y Wesley Koolhof.
If Spain reaches the semi-finals, it would face the winner of the tie between Canada, the 2022 tournament champion, and Germany. On the other side of the draw there will be Italy, Argentina, the United States and Australia.
Among the tennis players who have already been announced for the final phase of the 2024 Davis Cup, the following also stand out: Jannik Sinner (Italia), Felix Auger-Aliassime (Canada), Taylor Fritz (USA), Alexei Popyrin (Australia) o Sebastian Baez (Argentina), among others.
The 2024 Davis Cup quarter-finals will be played between Tuesday 19 and Thursday 21 November; the semi-finals will be between 22 and 23 November; and the final on 24 November.
